Cipolloni Concrete

SAFETY & CARE INSTRUCTIONS

It was truly a pleasure working with you and adding lasting value to your home. We hope the improvements we made become the backdrop for many wonderful memories with your family. We’re sharing a few important safety and maintenance tips to help you care for your new concrete area. These were also provided in our brochure and are available anytime on our website at www.cipcrete.com.

Initial Care

  • Please avoid walking on, placing furniture on, or allowing pets onto the area for at least 24 hours to allow proper drying.

  • If your concrete has been sealed, use extra caution as the surface may be slippery, especially when wet. While we add an anti-skid agent to our sealant, it is not “slip-proof.” Be particularly mindful with children and elderly individuals. Over time, regular use and weathering will reduce slipperiness.

Long-Term Maintenance

  • Avoid salt and de-icing products, which can damage your concrete.

  • Refrain from using harsh chemicals or lawn care products near the area.

  • Use caution with metal furniture or grills without wheels, as these can cause scratches, chips, or rust stains. Rust-free furniture or protective pads are highly recommended.

  • Do not place planters without bases directly on the surface for extended periods, as chemicals in soil can damage the sealer.

  • Avoid leaving rugs or mats outdoors on the concrete, as trapped moisture can cause discoloration.

  • In winter, use a soft broom instead of shovels to clear snow and prevent damage to the sealer.

Stamped Concrete Care

    • We recommend resealing stamped concrete every 1–2 years depending on use and exposure. Don’t wait until the sealer has completely worn away, as this helps preserve the vibrant colors.

    • We offer resealing services or can supply the correct product if you prefer to DIY. Do not use water-based sealers

Landscaping Reminder

Within 3 months, please add a base around all new installations (walls, patios, walkways, driveways, pools, etc.) using topsoil with grass seed or a landscape finish. This protects the edges from chipping, prevents erosion, and helps maintain the integrity of your concrete.

If you have any questions or need assistance, visit our website or give us a call. We’re here to help you protect your investment and enjoy it for years to come.
